Malta Pampering

Less than three hours flying time from the UK, the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo offer blue skies, sunshine and revitalising spa breaks all year round. Catherine Beattie reports…..

From the air, Malta and sister island Gozo look like golden pancakes floating in a sea of deepest blue. On closer acquaintance, Malta’s honeyed limestone interior reveals lush gardens, citrus groves and golf courses, while little green Gozo has fertile valleys, vineyards and deserted sandy beaches. Less than three hours flying time from the UK, both islands offer blue skies, sunshine and revitalising spa breaks at any time of year.
