The Spirit of Christmas Fair – the start of the festive season!

The Spirit of Christmas

Spirit of Christmas Fair

November is always a busy month for press and travel events. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it this year to London’s Olympia for the Luxury Travel Show, but some of the team went along to the Spirit of Christmas Fair, which is  held at Olympia at the same time and tickets give access to both events.

The Spirit of Christmas Fair was launched in 2001 at Olympia, and due to high demand, is now a seven day shopping extravaganza. The ever popular Fair celebrates the start of the Christmas season, setting the benchmark for high quality products from hundreds of the UK’s finest independent retailers. The fair’s partners include; Mosimann’s, Louis Roederer, True Grace, Green & Spring, The Biscuiteers and The Great Taste Awards.

Olympia Food Hall, Spirit of Christmas Fair

As usual, the Fair’s famous Food Hall, was  filled  with gastronomic delights from the finest artisan producers and Great Taste award-winners. Famed for their Christmas fayre, the hall offered tasty treats from handmade chutneys and preserves, sumptuous liquors and chocolates to specialist cheeses, olive oils, Spanish hams, award-winning Christmas cakes and mouth-watering puddings.

The main arena featured a new collection of independent boutiques, all hand-picked for their quality and diversity, with exclusive winter collections of fine cashmere knitwear  and a great array of fashion, beauty, decorative accessories, children’s and men’s gifts. Many of the brands are not found on the high street.

Once again, the Spirit of Christmas Fair was not only an enjoyable and entertaining day out but a useful source of festive inspiration with lots of unique gift ideas. I must definitely attend next year!
