A late spring break in sunny Xabia!

We’ve left the chaos of our kitchen renovations behind this week for a short visit to Spain, joining Alison and Jonathan for the last two days of their holiday here in Xabia . If you read this blog, you’ll notice that I’m now calling Javea ‘Xabia’ -the town’s Valencian name, because this is used more generally now, particularly in the literature from the tourist office.

So far the weather is sunny and warm,  however, the water temperature is still too cold for pleasurable dips in the sea or the pool, although Jonathan and Alec have both taken the plunge several times!

The Arenal is looking much smarter – lots of new restaurants and ice cream bars to try.
