Guests travelling on commercial airlines into Male International Airport embark on a scenic 70-minute inter-island flight with ‘Maldivian’ to Gan International Airport, from where they are transferred to the resort by private speedboat. Surrounded by a coral reef, the boutique-style resort features 132 villas in seven styles from private water villas and tropical tree houses to pool villas and beachside residences. The resort also offers five dining options, a 9-hole golf course, outdoor swimming pool, dive school, entertainment centre, tennis courts and a 24-hour business lounge.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La is located in its own spa village within the resort, with 11 spacious villas including five double villas offering ‘spa within a spa’ environments. There is also a yoga pavilion overlooking the Indian Ocean, individual treatment villas with steam rooms and private gardens.

The spa menu offers a selection of Asian massages and Indian Ayurvedic treatments as well as locally inspired treatments and wellbeing programmes with yoga, Ayurveda meditation, fitness, chi balance and herbal foot pounding and reflexology.
