This visually enchanting coffee table tome is a celebration of some of the world’s most desirable and luxurious hotels, all members of Healing Hotels of the World (HHW) – a collection of spa and wellness hotels. These splendid properties range from stunning beachside resorts to tropical retreats, from alpine hotels to smart urban escapes. They all have spa facilities and some (not all) also offer restorative and rejuvenating holistic health programmes.
The book includes details of individual hotel’s spa, health and other facilities, treatments and services, activities, number of rooms, location and contact details – but no indication of prices, which presumably can be obtained from the HHW website. The descriptions of each hotel are quite short and are in German as well as English (HHW is a German consortium), as are the contributions by leading holistic and alternative health practitioners and the sprinkling of exotic recipes. But it is the glorious photography that gives this book the ‘wow’ factor and the inspiration to add some new additions to your list of ‘must see’ destinations.
