November is always a busy month and this year was no exception.

November 1st saw the UK launch of Mary Kay’s new TimeWise Repair products at the Dorchester Spa on Park Lane. While I’ve been to the spa a number of times, I’d never experienced the Spatisserie –the spa’s  light and elegant dining area. We were offered delicious and healthy bite-sized portions of fresh fruit, savoury canapés and yogurt, all beautifully presented – so it was rather a faux pas that in such elegant surroundings, my companion’s tea was served with hot milk!

Until the launch, I knew little about Mary Kay. The brand was founded in 1963 by Mary Kay Ash in Dallas, Texas, using using her life savings of $5,000. Today, Mary Kay is one of the largest direct sellers of skin care and cosmetics in the world, with global sales around $3 billion. The company is committed to helping women achieve personal growth and financial success. All Mary Kay’s 2.4 million Independent Beauty Consultants are offered personal e-commerce sites, marketing and sales support and the opportunity to become Independent Sales Directors.

The new TimeWise Repair skin care regime has been specially developed for mature skin, to help fight advanced skin ageing by reducing deep lines and wrinkles, restoring sagging contours and recapturing youthful volume.  It consists of five products including a day cream with a SPF of 30, and a night cream with Retinol. All five products contain a biomimetic peptide for skin repair, plant stem cells and a hyaluronic acid booster.

TimeWise Repair has undergone the most comprehensive studies and testing of any Mary Kay product with over 65 studies involving 3,000 women with noticeable skin improvements when the products were used morning and evening.
