The joys of an Internet connection!

We’re back in Spain for a week. The blue skies and warm sunshine are so uplifting after all the rain at home. It’s ironic, but no sooner have we arrived than the UK enjoys a long overdue heat wave – let’s hope it lasts for the Jubilee celebrations next weekend.

This has to be one of our most memorable visit to Javea, because we’re now online !  Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we have a satellite broadband connection that works brilliantly. We’ve tried for years to get a connection, but nothing worked because of our location and the pine trees surrounding us. Then on our last visit, we saw an ad in the local paper for a satellite connection and here we are!

Steve from Arenas Digitales installed the Tooway 6 service with a neat dish and couldn’t have been more efficient and helpful. We were up and running immediately.

What a difference it makes having 24-hour access instead of being limited to the fluctuating opening times of the local Internet cafes. We were so delighted, we celebrated with a meal at El Rancho, a slightly upmarket new restaurant on the Jesus Pobre road.
